  • What happens if I don’t replace my furnace filter regularly?
If you don't replace your furnace filter often enough, several issues can arise: 1. A clogged or dirty filter restricts airflow, reducing air circulation and comfort. 2. Decreased HVAC system efficiency, leading to higher energy consumption and potential overheating or freezing. 3. Increased dust and allergens circulating in your home, which can detrimentally affect the health of its occupants. Regular filter replacement will prevent these problems and ensures optimal system performance. It is recommended to replace your filter every 2 to 4 months.
  • Will the hemp in our filters get you high like marijuana?
While this may be a disappointment to some, our filters do not get you high. Hemp fibers have no THC or CBD in them, which are the compounds that cause highs or mood alterations. We also use specifically industrial hemp varieties which are harvested specifically for the fibers.
  • What is Hemp?
Hemp is a versatile plant species known as Cannabis sativa that has been cultivated for thousands of years. It has remarkable properties that make it unique and valuable. Hemp fibers are incredibly strong and durable, making them ideal for textiles, ropes, and construction materials. The plant's seeds are highly nutritious, containing essential fatty acids, proteins, and vitamins, and can be consumed as food or pressed into oil. Hemp also has environmental benefits, as it grows quickly and its deep roots help prevent soil erosion.
  • How do I know my furnace filter size?
    1. Check the existing filter: If you already have a filter installed in your furnace, you can simply check the dimensions printed on the frame of the filter. The size is typically displayed as length x width x thickness (e.g., 20" x 16" x 1"). 2. Consult the furnace manual: If you have the manual for your furnace, it may provide information about the recommended filter size. Look for a section that specifically mentions the filter dimensions or filter size. 3. Measure the existing filter: If you don't have the filter or the manual, you can measure the dimensions of the filter slot in your furnace. Use a tape measure to determine the exact length, width, and thickness of the space where the filter is inserted. Make sure to measure the actual opening and not the outer dimensions of the filter. 4. Consider filter thickness: Furnace filters come in different thicknesses, commonly ranging from 1 inch to 5 inches. Ensure you measure the thickness accurately, as using a filter that is too thick or too thin may not fit properly and can affect the performance of your furnace. 5. Round up odd measurements: If your measurements result in odd numbers (e.g., 17.5" x 23.25" x 1"), round up to the nearest whole number when selecting a filter (e.g., 18" x 24" x 1").
